Calcium pantothenate, one of the B vitamins, is one of the essential nutrients for the normal growth of organisms. Calcium pantothenate exists in three forms due to its chiral carbon atoms: DL-body (mixed body), D-body (dextral body) and L-body (L-body), only calcium D-pantothenate has biological activity, and its appearance is white or slightly yellow needle crystal or Chemicalbook powder. Its melting point is 195 ~ 196℃(decomposition), soluble in water, methanol, glycerin, slightly soluble in ethanol and acetone, with hygroscopic property and slightly sweet taste. But it turned slightly bitter. In terms of chemical stability, it is most stable in aqueous solution with pH value of 5 ~ 7, more stable in air and sunlight, and less stable in acid and alkali.
